TeamSnap App for my Children's Sports

A friend informed me yesterday that the wrestling will start in  a couple of weeks.  I haven't received the memo from the school yet but I look forward to it.  Our son is not involved in many  sports but  we encourage him to continue wrestling, football and tennis.  He tried out  for basketball but he didn't like it so  after just one practice, he did not want to go back.  I think he feel  inferior that most of the kids   that practiced that day were  good and he  was just learning the basic.
Anyway', back to wrestling, the photo above was the medal he got from  last year's event.  He won his first match and I think he had  so much fun.  It was  fun watching  them wrestle as  he  was very gentle, he didn't want to hurt his opponent because  he was his friend.  I think it would change as he get older.
This year, I want to make sure that we won't miss any practice and games  so I signed up  with TeamSnap.  They have an awesome  app that  you can use and  the cool thing is you can personalize it.  I also love that you can connect your facebook and the result will be shared automatically.  I love how technology progresses these days, there is an app  for everything.
I love that  there are many features like the  calendar sync, messaging, notifications, tracking, statistics  and a lot more.  So you can add  a team from your account and never miss a thing again.  I can't wait for this season to start, it's fun watching kids wrestle.  I am not sure if I would feel the same watching  adult wrestle as they are pretty aggressive.  I might get nervous when my little man   become wrestler when he's adult.  I am sure that even in high school,  wrestling is already very intense so we will see.
For now,  I am enjoying his goofiness with the sport.
My daughter is  starting  the new season for volleyball here very soon.  I am glad,  I am all set up with the TeamSnap app as I am ready to roll.  Based from my experience we haven't miss a game  from previous season but it is a lot safer to have an app that reminds you for the schedule of events.
Last year, my daughter's team was undefeated so we will see how they  perform this year.  I hope they do good again, that would be awesome.  She is  a bit worried because we haven't  practice  in a while.  She need to work on her serving, she can't wait for the season to start.
I am excited for the season to start.  It's fun watching our kids play.   I get so   excited and gets louder at times which embarrasses the kids but hey, what can I do lol.
Here's wishing that this year's sports is as successful and fun as last year's.

Fun Tenth Birthday at Home

I now that  leaping from one digit to  double digits is a big thing so I made our  simple celebration a bit  special by decoratring  even though we did not have a big party.  Only the  four of us celebrated at home.  I woke up early that day  and  decorated our dining room with the  Hello Kitty theme birthday in a box that I got for her earlier.
This is the DIY  birthday  card that I made for  Rye Bean.  The blak heart space is for my husband's message for her, I know that he love to write so I reserved the biggest one for him.
She was all smiles when she woke up,  Glad she loves it even though it's not as frand as her friends birthday  party celebration is.
She love Hello KItty so this was perfect for her, make her day  extra special.

Here's my goofy little lad  trying to  pose for us.
I cooked some of her favorite food for us to eat at dinner time.
My husband had to work  that day so he was also suprised when he arrives home as we didn't tell him that we prepared something.
After we ate dinner, we played  ball at the backyard and had some pgoto fun.
My son is almost  tall as his big sister.  I can't believe how big they are getting.  They will be taller than me pretty soon.  It makes me happy and at the same time sad, lol.
Five more years and she will be driving, ugh.  I can already ell that she will be a hot rod.  If I am scared to drive, I am sure she is not!
I love that both of them are growing up  liking each other.  They argue once in a while but most of the times, they  get along.
I am so glad that she had fun, we all did!

Sheraton Hotel in Palo Alto California

When we attended the Doodle4Google  event with our daughter, Google  booked our  hotel accommodation in Sheraton Hotel in Palo Alto California.
The hotel was  located  near Stanford University but unfortunately, we were not able to visit the famous university.
The photo above was our daughter during the registration before we  went to our hotel room.
After we registered at the Google lounge, we  checked in to the hotel.  It was a very exhausting  flight  but we were all excited for the  main event the next day.
The hotel has a swimming pool which the kids really love.
Interesting art piece in the hotel lobby which I can't pass not to take picture of lol.
See the black squirrel  showing us the way?  Unfortunately, the way he showed us led us to the wrong one lol.
The room  has two beds, good enough for the four of us.
Here's EJ excited to see the ice bucket  hahaha.
 I has a nice bathroom.
After we ate some snacks, we came back to our room  for a much needed rest.  More  posts coming up when I get the chance.

Sweet November

When my PC crashed, I got behind with my posting so this is a long overdue  post about  pumpkin carving.  Anyhow, someone donated  a truck load of pumpkin to the school so they gave each students to take home.  It gave my Burritos something to do  on that particular weekend.  Anyhow, these are  part of  our Sweet November activities so here you go.

Thanks a lot for visiting and commenting.

H&R Block at Highland Hills

Hey everyone.  Who among you are done filing taxes already?  We did ours last weekend.  We originally planned to do it ourselves   at Turbo Tax online but  there  was something wrong with their  system.  I wasn't sure if it was just a glitch but  there are options  that  it wasn't right for our category.  So we went to the H&R Block in Highland Hills where my niece-in-law is working.  She's the branch manager there so  she has  free slots  for family members and friends.  We only paid the filing fee but the rest was free.  Thank you so much Jen!

Below are some snaps I took  on our way and back.
I believe this is the coke plant down in Follansbee.
Mr. Burrito wasn't feeling very good that day and he was  throwing up  all over the place.  I felt so bad for him as he was feeling so groggy but  we managed to finish our  taxes.  He  was the one who got hit by  the stomach flu virus that  all of them has now.  I am praying that I won't get  it  so I can take care  of them.

Sun Catchers

My daughter had  a four day weekend last week due to Veteran's Day and  Parents-Teachers Meeting so I have to come up with a project that they  can do.  We went to the Dollar Tree and bought a pack of this Sun Catchers  Christmas kit.
I am glad that Mr. Burrito is showing interest in doing arts now.  He is also starting to draw faces and other stuff.
Simple things like this can really  keep them busy and  hone their creativity.  This is better than just letting your kids just watch TV.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

It's been..
