Mr. Burrito's Birthday

Our little man  turned 6 years old  this week and he  was very happy to celebrate it with his classmates in school.  We ordered him a Chuggington cup-cake.  He was very happy that his Dad  took a day off and  went with me in the classroom to serve them the snack and treats.

We decided not to  host a party this time because of the flu that has been going around.  We bought him gifts and cooked a Fettuccine Alfredo for us to share.  Lolo Don and Lola Ruth gave him a gift too, thanks  Lolo and Lola!

It was a simple celebration yet the birthday boy was so happy.  Can you tell?
My little man is growing up so fast!

Interstate Drive #MarylandtoWestVirginia

When we came back here in the mainland from South Korea (2009), our car was shipped. I took a few weeks before it arrived to the landing destination, Maryland. Hubby and I flew from Pittsburgh to Maryland then we picked up the car and drove it back.

We did the same thing when  we first arrived here from Guam (2005).  The only difference is that we  rented a car and drove it to Virginia  which  was a bad idea especially that I was few weeks away from my due date.  We  also did not have  a GPS  so we've lost our way a couple of times.

We learned our lesson so we flew the next time and then we brought  a GPS so we never got lost.
It was a good journey for both of us, kinda like a date without the kids lol.  While in Maryland, we  visited his Aunt whom he have never seen for years.  They were surprised because  my husband was still a kid when he last  seen his relatives.  Driving from State to State is fun especially when you are with your love one.
With his Aunt Carol and cousin LaDonna who lives in Dundalk, MD.

Love Thy Neighbor

As I have previously mentioned, our Burritos got some  awesome gifts from their Lola and Lola Fancher's.  Lolo Don came to our home on Christmas day  and delivered their gifts to our Burritos.
Ms. Burrito could not wait, she started painting her Precious Monet  Nativity Scene right away then we helped her finish it.
Daddy and Lolo helped Mr. Burrito built his wooden cars.
I love this type of gifts as  it enhances  the creative thinking of the  children.  Thanks so much Lolo and Lola, your love for  us is always appreciated!

Rocky Mountain Trail

Winter has just begun I am already getting wore out of being trapped inside our home, it feels like it's been so long.  I would like to do my running outside but there's piles of snow everywhere so it wouldn't be safe as  some part has  ice in it, I might bust my behind and break a bone or something.  I guess, I just have to embrace the fact that I don't have a choice but to use our treadmill inside our home hehehe.

Sweet November

When my PC crashed, I got behind with my posting so this is a long overdue  post about  pumpkin carving.  Anyhow, someone donated  a truck load of pumpkin to the school so they gave each students to take home.  It gave my Burritos something to do  on that particular weekend.  Anyhow, these are  part of  our Sweet November activities so here you go.

Thanks a lot for visiting and commenting.

Riding a Horse

We visited my  father-in-law last night and  he told us that he wanted to call his  youngest sister  but he couldn't get through.  My husband  dialed the number and  he  got through so my FIL talked to his sister and he was happy.  We then talked about the last we went and visited his sister a couple of years ago and he loved to do that again this year.  We had a very unforgettable experience down there as we got lost along the way but with that we found a  paradise, a farm owned by a very nice family who let my  children rode their horses.  It would would be nice if we could go there again and dropped by at that said farm, maybe the owners will let the kids ride again with saddle pads and all.  I love  going to  the country areas as it reminds me of home.  Hubby and I would love to own a property  where there are plenty of land to raise a cow and  horse maybe, that would be fun.

It's been..
