Ain't it Funny

Aside from Celine Dion, J.Lo is also  one of my favorite artists.  Ain't it funny is one of her music videos that I like.  The lyrics remind me of someone I knew then.  You may play and sing to it, the lyrics is below the video.

Estoy
Loca
Enamorada
De ti

It seemed to be like the perfect thing for you and me
It's so ironic you're what I had pictured you to be
But there are facts in our lives
We can never change
Just tell me that you understand and feel the same
This perfect romance that I've created in my mind
I'd live a thousand lives
Each one with you right by my side
But yet we find ourselves in a less than perfect circumstance
And so it seems like we'll never have the chance
Ain't it funny how some feelings you just can't deny
And you can't move on even though you try
Ain't it strange when you're feeling things you shouldn't feel
Oh, I wish this could be real

Ain't it funny how a moment could just change your life
And you don't wanna face what's wrong or right
Ain't it strange how fate can play a part
In the story of your heart

Sometimes I think that a true love can never be
I just believe that somehow it wasn't meant for me
Life can be cruel in a way that I can't explain
And I don't think that I could face it all again
I barely know you but somehow I know what you're about
A deeper love I've found in you
And I no longer doubt
You've touched my heart and it altered every plan I've made
And now I feel that I don't have to be afraid

Ain't it funny how some feelings you just can't deny
And you can't move on even though you try
Ain't it strange when you're feeling things you shouldn't feel
Oh, I wish this could be real
Ain't it funny how a moment could just change your life
And you don't wanna face what's wrong or right
Ain't it strange how fate can play a part
In the story of your heart

I locked away my heart
But you just set it free
Emotions I felt
Held me back from what my life should be
I pushed you far away
And yet you stayed with me
I guess this means
That you and me were meant to be....

H&R Block at Highland Hills

Hey everyone.  Who among you are done filing taxes already?  We did ours last weekend.  We originally planned to do it ourselves   at Turbo Tax online but  there  was something wrong with their  system.  I wasn't sure if it was just a glitch but  there are options  that  it wasn't right for our category.  So we went to the H&R Block in Highland Hills where my niece-in-law is working.  She's the branch manager there so  she has  free slots  for family members and friends.  We only paid the filing fee but the rest was free.  Thank you so much Jen!

Below are some snaps I took  on our way and back.
I believe this is the coke plant down in Follansbee.
Mr. Burrito wasn't feeling very good that day and he was  throwing up  all over the place.  I felt so bad for him as he was feeling so groggy but  we managed to finish our  taxes.  He  was the one who got hit by  the stomach flu virus that  all of them has now.  I am praying that I won't get  it  so I can take care  of them.

Nostalgia # 7 - High School Days

When we had our first visit to my family last year, my husband saw this small box with my high school medals on it. He told me that I should bring it here and have it as a keepsake for our kids. So I did brought it here. I am not a smart person but I think due to my determination, I study my lessons as hard as I could which rewarded me with merits at the end.

Here's another piece of me growing up so please have time to peek at the whole story by clicking the snippet below.

Hoopie Explorations

Going down to where my father-in-law grew up was a blast. We took so many pictures because it will take a long time before we could visit there again. That was the kids and I's first time visiting West Union. The kids had so much fun exploring the beauty of the place. They got to ride a horse, had a chance to see animals like goats, turkey, and other critters.

My husband's Aunt has a very huge yard so we had so much fun running around. We played ball too and the kids explore the small stream nearby Aunt Shirley's house.
I think if you want a very relaxing and peaceful place to live, hoopie is the perfect place. You get to enjoy fresh wind and the surrounding is just awesome.

Our kids love down there. In fact, the next morning when we got back home, EJ said "Can we go down hoopie again?"
Can you tell that we had a blast? My husband captured my jump action lol!

Have a great week ahead guys!

This photo was taken when a female friend and I went to Bagasbas beach in Daet Camarines Norete, Philippines to unwind and think things out with her pregnancy. By posting this photo, I got a nasty comment from a certain Diyosa on my conscience post. You might read the post if you have time. But anyhow, this was taken eleven years ago, I was 25 then.

Last Glance

These photos were taken five years ago (October 2, 2004) during the President's day. A celebration to welcome the new president of the school where I work then (Divine Word College of Legazpi). This was also my last event with my former office mates, colleagues, and friends.

The non-teaching personnel were wearing blue (which was us), the teaching personnel in College were wearing yellow, and the teaching personnel in High School and Grade School were wearing Red. The venue was in Viento de Mar Resort in Bacacay Albay, Phils.
I miss my close friends there but I am glad to be with my husband and family now.

I truly miss those close friends I met In Divine Word but gladly left the not-so-friendly ones.. Oppps!
With the College professors.

The Grade and High School teachers.
Since I was leaving, I made sure to take pictures from each table with other people lol..
Have a great week everyone!

Naval Museum in Pensacola

These photos were taken when we had our two weeks vacation in Pensacola Florida. Well, it wasn't really a vacation, but we went there with my husband when he attended a two-week school for his new assingment in PA. But we really had fun out there. We went to the Naval Museum full of old stuff about the Navy! My daughter Rylie was 7 months old then.

Thanks for stopping by and reading folks! Please leave your trail so I can visit you back.. Take care!
