Revisiting Memorial Park for Veterans - Nostalgia # 72

Photobucket Last Year, we visited this small park which is dedicated to the service men and veterans  from West Virginia. I told hubby that we should bring Dad in this place because he said that he's never been in that place although it is just  located  in downtown where he lives.

Anyhow, we finally did brought him there last Sunday after we attended Gracie's birthday party in Follansbee.  It's nice to listen  to the two vets talking about their experiences in the service.
I would like to  take as many photos as I can with Dad with us so when  the kids  grow up, they will see it and  remember how they  do  things together with their Pap.
It was a beautiful day.  My FIL said that he sweat walking around the area lol.  Thanks for  going with us Dad!

George says "Airplane!" Mommy says "No George that's helicopter." I still have a lot of things to teach George. hehehe. Nice shots Rose, 2 black hawks visited our place and hubby took pictures but his computer crashed and its all goners. Those machines are really cool!

I think VA is one among the many states that has the most 'war' historical sites. Tama ba? Parang na mention ni Hubby na meron ngang war field diyan. He was once a marine too and I do wonder if he knows that place. I will ask him.

Yogi will surely enjoy that place kasi he's so into war games, war documentary films, air crafts, soldiers etc.

Hope we will be able to see the place someday.

Anyway, I really like the way you arrange your photos, Sis. Paano ba yan? Hehe.

Happy Nostalgia!

Hi Lynn, we live in WV not VA, medyo malayo kami sa VA.. If you come here in Weirton, that would be the first thing you will see, the veterans park. Not sure what's its name though.

Yes, both father and son have so many things to reminisce in their stints in the US military. Great that you were able to bring your FIL to the Memorial Park. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
