Nostalgia # 27 - Cross Stitch

My entry this week is the very first cross stitch   project that I made.  When I got pregnant with Rylie, hubby suggested that I should take a leave of absence from my work  in order to  take extra care of my pregnancy.  I was glad that I took a leave because my  conception wasn't well.  I was always puking my guts out (opps sowi for those who are eating)  every morning for the first trimester of my pregnancy.  I was living in an apartment then and got used to working everyday so  I was a bit bored.

I decided to explore on making something.  I never tried cross stitching before but I thought that it was a nice  project to do to keep me occupied.  A friend told me to start with the easy pattern but I fell in love with this one when I saw the pattern.  Of all the  the pieces I've made this was  the most expensive because I used a lot of materials.  All part of this piece has cross stitch.  It was hard especially for a beginner like me but I had fun.

I brought all of it here  in a frame but unfortunately, all the glasses got broken in transit.  I was going to have it framed again in here but when I inquired, it was so dang expensive so I just displayed it without glasses lol.

Alrighty folks, thanks once again for joining in.  don't forget to leave comments and your link.

Buti ka pa Rose, you have the knack in cross stitching. Me, I stopped na on that. I love knitting more. :)

Your cross stitch is a masterpiece. It is so beautiful that I would love to hang it on my wall for everybody else to see. The theme is hauntingly beautiful and nostalgic as if it was taken from someone's treasured memories. Maybe it represented your former idyllic life by the sea. Thanks for the nostalgic post. God bless you all always.

This is a beautiful finished product, sis!

May you would also like to know that i made my first cross-stitch when i was also pregnant. @ 2 months i started staying at home and i decided to try on it. Di rin ako marunong that time so i pick a very simple parttern.3 pcs flowers with God bless you yon. I know i have it somewhere. None of the patterns ive done were framed pa. :)

I love cross stitching. Sad though that I'm so pre-occupied with so many stuff now that I can't even begin one project.

This is amazing, Rose. I could never do something like this. I tried crochet many years ago when i was recuperating from surgery but for 2 months, i didn't even finish a coaster! LOL

My BFF gifted me with one of her crossstitch masterpieces for my birthday a few years back, labor of love talaga!

Most ordinary person can be beautiful, if it reflects the internal light.
