Double 8 Celebration

We celebrated my FIL's 88th birthday last Tuesday. We went there as soon as my husband came home from school. I baked a pan of lasagna and my friend Raquel brought Dad a chocolate cake. We also have some KFC chicken and later on my SIL prepared some gourmet meal.

We did not stay very long because EJ was sick. We didn't get to bond with my SIL's family who came a little bit later. Here's EJ blowing the candle for Pap.

Raquel surprised Dad a visit. Although she did not bring the baby, she brought her baby's album for Dad to see.

Rylie made something for Pap too. She wasn't contented of the card we bought lol.

Below was taken during the Grand Parents' Day Celebration at my FIL's back porch.
Below is one of the pictures that we took when EJ and John celebrated their birthdays in the Philippines. That was very memorable because it was my kids first visit in my home sweet home. We celebrated it at one of the beaches in Donsol and we also swam with the Butandings (Whaleshark). This is one of the photos that Mama is in (the one in white top). My brother Andy was still alive on this occasion. How I wish that Mama is just around the corner where we can visit everyday.

Linking this up to Mommy Moments with a Grandparents as a theme this week.

Nostalgia # 18 - Birthday Gift

Two years ago, I received this precious gift from a Korean friend whom we invited from our home in Korea. Over there, when you invited the over to your house, they would bring something for you. I think it's part of their culture but I think that it's the sweetest gesture about them.
Photobucket
These frames reminds me of the first time I celebrated my birthday in Korea. I was just starting my blogging experience then so I don't know anyone in the blogging world but my mentor hehehe.
As you can see, photography is one of my addiction so getting a photo frame as a gifts is quite thrilling for me (babaw ko no lol). The pictures on the picture frame were taken during Father's Day celebration at Turtle Cove in Korea. The middle photo frame was a gift from Jen on his baptismal day. Picture was taken inside St. Paul Church.

EJ is Sick

My son is sick right now, he is fevered and really feeling down. We did not stay very long at my FIL's house because he really don't feel good. He even turned down the cake when we offered him some. You know when EJ is sick because if he is well, he never turned down any sweets. Poor little guy. He is not tough as his sister whenever to fighting sickness. I hope that he would feel better tomorrow because I have to take Rylie to school and hubby need to go to school too. I won't be able to take him if he is sick. Oh Lord, please heal my baby!

Family Portrait - Latest

I thank God all the time for giving me such a wonderful family, a loving husband and kids. I am so grateful that God gave my kids some skills to sketch something, I don't have this lol. Here's my daughter's second attempt in drawing our family.

For a five year old, I am totally impressed. Yeah I know, I am biased hahaha! But, can you blame me? She is my daughter and I love her so much. I am so proud of you Rye.

Presenting our artist in the making hehehe.

This was her first family portrait made/drawn last April 2010.
Hope everybody is having a nice Monday!

Hanover Park Meet Up

Before the first day of school, one of the Moms from my daughter's class organized a 'meet-up' get-together for all the parents and kids in kindergarten. The goal for this is to get the kids familiarize with each other, warm up by playing in the park. This event was done on the day of the registration so after we registered our daughter, we proceeded to the venue. Hanover Park is in PA but it is close to where we live. t was a brilliant idea on the part of Mrs. Mascio.

The kids definitely had so much fun because the park was huge and there are so many things to do in there. It also gave the parents to meet other parents. This also gave me time to get out of my shell a little bit, I am shy when it comes to meeting new people so I am always kind of reserve in one corner lol. Some of them are really friendly though and talked to me.

One of the main game for the kids is introduction of each and Q & A afterwards with that they have learned from each other with the help of the parents. I was surprised that my daughter was never shy, she just mingle with the kids naturally. She definitely get that from her Dad. I a, always shy since I was a kid. After the Q&A, the kids were give some prizes.

The organizer also brought some pzza and drinks for everybody. Thanks Marie!

The rest were spent from running around and playing. Those are some of the girls in Rylie's class. She is the smallest one lol.

It's been..
