My Husband's 46th Birthday

For the second day in a row, my kids  were off from school.  We have been having severe weather  here at our neck of the woods so school cancellation is pretty normal.  I was glad too that they were off for two days because my kids caught  some cold last Sunday when we went to church without gloves and hats on.  They were able to recuperate  and now doing much better.  I kept them hydrated and  fed them soup for the last couple of days.  

Anyway, I was super glad that they were off again today because today is my husband's 46th birthday.  They were able to do things for their Dad.

 We used empty wine bottles to write "Happy Birthday Dad".  Every letter has one word that describes my husband.

(HAPPY) -  Happy, Artistic, Patriotic, Passionate, YouRock!

 (BIRTHDAY) - Beefy, Intelligent, Responsible, Truthful, Helpful, Delightful, Assertive, You're-So-Sweet!

 (DAD) - Dedicated, Awesome, Darling

 And here are my partner in crime who helped me decorate, cooked, and they also  performed by playing piano for their Dad.

It was a simple celebration but glad that we were able to   pull it off.  I was impressed that my son was able to play a tune for his Dad.  He's been to his  piano lesson twice this month and  he is getting good already.

Happy birthday  Hon, may God always bless you and take care of you while you're at work and driving on the road.  Thank you for all your hard work and dedication just to provide for us.  We love you  so much!

Hubby as a Son and as a Dad

According to John, when he was a kid, he seldom had the opportunity to bond with his Dad because my FIL was always working. It was his Mom who was there for him 24/7 but despite that he respects and loves his Dad so much. He understood that his Dad had to earn a living to support them and for them to have a decent life.

As he grow older, he became very close to him. I can attest to that because even if when we were overseas, he would call Dad and talk to him for a long time. He always speaks very highly of him.

Now that we are back here in the mainland, we visit him almost everyday and talk to him on the phone several times a day. I could see how much my husband loves and adores his Dad because every thing that he does, he consults Dad and gets advice.

As a father, my husband makes sure that he spends quality time with our kids because he believes that it is extremely important for their growth. He is trying to be the best Dad for them.

Bedtime Habits

Hubby always goes to bed early. As an addict blogger, I always stay up late because that is when I can do blogging without interruption lol. Just like now, it is 11:36 and I am still up trying to write my entry to Couple's Corner hehehe.

John can never go to bed without taking a hot shower, that is his night time regimen. Sometimes I take hot shower before going to bed but most of the time, I do that after cooking which is noontime or late afternoon.

John love to lay on his side facing right and he sleeps on the right side of the bed. If I go on the bed early with him, he faces left to hug me. But since I am always late, I am the one wrapping my arms around him when I go to bed lol.

Sometimes when he is very tired, he snores and I always let him know through scratching his feet. I can't sleep whenever he snores because I am a light sleeper and just a little noise would wake me up. Not to mention when the two burritos would transfer in our bed in the middle of the night because they have a bad dream. In that case, I always end up transferring to the other bed because they move too much lol.
