School Remembrances - Nostalgia # 44

PhotobucketSeeing how my husband study hard for his exams makes me reminisce my graduate course years. I was working during the day and going to school after office hours.  It was  hard but I was motivated because my salary back then  is only around  $170 a month?  I can't really complain about my salary as I was only working as a Secretary at the Student Affairs Office.  In fact, I consider myself lucky because I got hired  even before  my college graduation.  I think, being a working student was a plus for the administrators to hire me over other applicants.

Anyhow, stretching that salary is so hard but I manage to somehow  squeezed in my  tuition fee for my    graduate course.  I don't have any  "luho" or luxury  and can't spend  extravagantly because I was on strict budget all the time (still is lol).  What I mean is that, I only buy the things that I need  because I have to support my family as well.  I guess God knows what my intentions were in furthering my studies.  My plan was to  get  an extra  work after office  hours like teaching part time after I graduate.  But that plan was demolished when an angel was sent to me hehehe.

I  was able to   wrote and defend my thesis (until now I am amazed lol). I studied the programs of our office and it's future developments.  Man, writing a thesis is so hard, you  will spend grueling hours with  sweat and tears, disappointent, discouragement, and such but in the end, I did it.  They awarded me my MBA diploma.  I am not a good writer but I think my perseverance overpowered that weakness that's why I was able to graduate.  To top that I was also inspired because my  future husband then was  boosting my morale.  I thank God  for giving me the courage, for giving me people that understands and support me, and above all for giving me  special people that loves me.  Woot sorry, this is a bit long, I hope you are still awake lol.

Oo nga, hirap nang Thesis, nag-hire kami nang coach na strikta then it was worth it naman kasi kami lahat ang nag-wowork out to make it through and naka-speak up sa araw na i-defend ang thesis.

Hi Mel, sa college siguro pwede ang group defense but in graduate school you have to defend it by yourslef, even your adviser can't help you during the final defense.. Maihi ihi nga ako kasi ginigisa talaga ako ng panels weee.

Yes, I am awake, Rose, LOL! Hurdling your graduate school degree in between schooling is such a feat. I salute you for that. Not everyone has that determination and perseverance like you have.

I went to Grad School, not MBA though. I took MPA (Masters in Public Administration) major in Organization and Management but still has to write my Thesis. I was able to finish all other subjects for the degree except Thesis Writing. I don't think I shall be able to accomplish that now.

Anyhow, it's great to meet someone who gives so much importance on education. Makikita naman sa pagpapalaki mo sa mga anak mo kasi it's always being imparted in most of your posts.

Sorry for the litany, hehe.

Hugs!

when i was in college malakas loob ko i was never nervous during the defense because kabisado ko thesis ko and I was used to meeting people of higher ranks because I was working with big bosses in big companies then kaya malakas ang loob ko pero ngayon waaaaaaaaaaa loob ko nasa paa na lol

I am back, wohooo! sensiya na at nawlaan ako ng time magsasali sa mga meme, sa MM lang ako nakakasali at naging busy.

Buti ka nga naka graduate, ako hindi, walang pera, saka maaga akong umalembong. I think God has plans for all of us, di ba? pareho tayong nandito sa US, sino makapag sasabing makakarating tayo dito at mag kakaasawa ng mababait na tao?

Happy Nostalgia!
