Roadtrips and Traveling

Traveling is such an enjoyable  thing for my family to do.  Whether, it is just a short road trip or  flying from   states to another, it is always fun for us.  I  am blessed with two wonderful kids who are great to travel with.  Having the van this year  gives us the opportunity to explore   nearby states.  We took a couple of road trips before the school  has started.  Below are some photos  of our recent adventures on the road.

Hubby wishes that someday, we could buy even one of those  used motorhomes so we can  travel  comfortably and we could have more space whenever  we  want to take a rest while on a road trip.  We used to   do road trips when we were in South Korea to.  That was one of our fondest memories there.  We usually did it on the weekends when my husband is off from his duty in the base and we would go to the other  military bases to shop and  see other  places.  I kind of miss  living in the Land of the Morning Calm but glad that we are back here  in "Country Roads", this is where our home is, and this is where we belong.
The photos above were taken  when we had our rest stop at the visitor center of West Virginia.  Traveling, gives us the sense of satisfaction of seeing other places other than the ones that we normally see in our day to day living.  It is  always fun to take road trips once in a while to give your family a break, to get away from the normal routine, and give the children the chance to discover new things  from new places.  We love doing it and we could could do it  all-year long if we will be given  a chance.

How about you, have you taken any road trips lately?

It looks like you had a wonderful time! I don't think I've ever taken a road trip well not in the way you do it - but then we don't have that far to go here to cross the country! x

We have been on the road quiet a lot this year more than we have ever been in the past summers. Our kids have gotten used to traveling and they are such troopers. I love road trips too and one of our plans is to buy an RV.. that is what we wanted since we love to camp and right now, camping in a tent with little ones have been a little bit difficult and a lot of work. It would be nice to have a camper even just a little one. That's our future goal anyway. :) I am too blessed with family that loves to travel. I get excited about seeing new things. :) We are excited about traveling to Yellowstone this fall. Another experience we are going to have hopefully since we have only been the Yellowstone during the summer. Autumn is another story. :)

Hello Chubskulit, I love road trips, too. But we have consciously chosen not to buy a car. Your family had so much fun. A happy family! :-)

Traveling is indeed a great family bonding sis. It's nice seeing you cheerful around. I'm pretty sure having that van makes you comfortable in going anywhere.

I would like to have a campervan or leisure travel van too since we love going around different cities. It's really fun! :)

Nope, we haven't. We have no car here yet so there is no way for us to do that, obviously. But we do bike rides and explore the city and then end up having a little picnic at the lakeside. It's fun for us too! Someday, when we get to have our own car, travelling and having road trips will never be out of our list of family activities.

I am still trying to convince my husband that having a motorhome is good when we retire in the future. You know, road trip around the country. But it looks like , he is not into it.

traveling with family foster ties and relationship. it's great when a family can travel once in a while. however, with costs rising, an rv should have save a lot on hotels and fares.

Roadtrips are fun, as you can see many different places and natures while passing heading to your destination. Getting a motorhome is even better, very comfortable and save you from paying hotel rents.
