A Walk with My Son

We visited my father-in-law yesterday at his house  and I was planning to run afterwards but my kids wanted to go with me so I just walk with my son,  my daughter  backed out at the last minute.  We walk a good bit and I am so proud of my 6 years old as he did not complain  at all.  He was all sweaty so when we  reached  the park, I let him play there for a while before going back to my FIL's home.

I always go for a walk with my daughter and this is the second time that my son  walked with me.  We had fun talking about  things.  He let me chase him and I pretended that I couldn't catch up which made him very proud.

It's great to get kids out there and keep them active! With so many leading such stationary lives it's awesome to see a mover and a shaker.

I wonder if they ever stop to think that mom can run fast if they are going to get hurt or already did but mom's are never fast enough to catch them, lol. My 3yo loves that he can outrun me.

I wish we had a park around my house that was easy to access by walking. Right now the sidewalks don't continue though.

Awe! That is so nice mommy. I always love to go for a walk to and we like to go to our farm and explore the jungle area just so we could go for a walk and exercise a bit. LOL! Great job young man and mama. :)

I still love to walk with my son. He doesn't love being outdoors because of the bugs but we do always have a great time just chatting. I wish he was still young enough to play with. Those are the best memories.

I love that your son was all about running with you. I think it's great to get the kids outside and get them away from technology as much as possible.

Walking around with the kids is indeed a good way to build our relationship with them, not to mention that it is a healthy one too, physically :)

It is so nice that at his early age he is already used to it. By the time he will grow up, it will become a daily routine.
