A Walk in the Neighborhood

We went for a walk last weekend at our neighborhood. I like where our home is situated because it is like in the center of everything (church, hospital, school, shopping plaza) but at the same time surrounded with nature.
There are four big fields where kids can play and run around during summer time and lots of different critters to see.
Both of these two burritos are very competitive so when they have a race,   both of them wants to win.  We always console the one that is left behind and tell them that it is okay to lose sometimes, they just need to do better next time.  Parenting really  exist everywhere, not just in homes but everywhere you go with your kids.
The background  where me and my kids are is the  Madonna High and below is the WV Community College.       St. Joe's Elementary is situated near the high school and  church, so we are  pretty lucky to find a spot where everything is.  The following are just random shots that we took as the kids ask a million questions about it lol.
My two boys are laughing  on this photo while Ms. Burrito is   goofing around and making faces hehehe.

I like the way your little girl seems to be chasing her shadow down the sidewalk. What fun!

I ONCE HAD A SHADOW

I once had a shadow—or did it have me?
My shadow and I could never agree.
I would say something, she’d say the reverse;
Our arguments flared, my lips I would purse,
Refusing to speak to her anymore—
So my shadow got up and marched out the door!
I have not seen her from that day to this—
That’s one stubborn shadow I surely don’t miss!

I haven't been to the WV panhandle for many years. Most people think is is nothing but steel mills, but nice neighborhoods are there, too. And your looks perfect for a family! Lots of land, and sidewalks (we don't have in our neighborhood). A place for children.

Kids do have to learn that as competitive as they are, we all learn better lessons from losing than winning - the lessons learned will result in wins! The main lesson: never stop trying...

Nice family photos, including the dog! It's so good you have plenty of wide, open spaces in your neighborhood for the kids to run!

Yes, you are living in the most ideal place close to everything but most of all, close to nature where you can play, bond and commune with nature. Such great photos attest to your various activities. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
