Graduation Parties

Our daughter will just enter kinder garden school but I am starting to get curious how would it be to have a graduating child. So when a good friend Ate Agnes invited us for their son's HS graduation party, we did attend.
Ate Agnes is dear to us because she is one of EJ's godmother so I did not hesitate to help barbecuing when we arrived at the venue.
Goodluck to your new journey Ross.
A photo of mareng Raquel (5 months preggo), me, and Ate Agnes's sister, Norie. We are all bicolanas so we had so much fun talking to each other.
They had a graduation piƱata which they did after the chow time. Too bad my kids weren't to my FIL already so they weren't able to participate.
The BBQ lady lol.
Two days after that, we also attended to the graduation party of our neighbor's daughter. They are pretty nice neighbor so we can't say no.
With the two graduation parties that we attended, I can say that it's a tough job for parents over here. I learned that, when you attend a party, you don't need to bring a gift, you just hand out card with cash in it. I find it really practical that they do that as it will help the student a jump start to their college fund.

Thanks for the happy post. God bless you all always.

It is nice to know other customs. Now I know sis, thanks for sharing this thing. Dito sa atin, gifts talaga ang binibigay. Sa bagay, maganda ito for trust fund.

Sa birthday ng anak ko, I will encourage my visitors to prepare a cash. naks! Baka wlang mag attend.lol!

The graduations will start flying by - the first is the hardest even if they have not yet grown up...we had a few, pre-school. middle school, high school and now college. It can fly by. At least this ceremony had plenty of good eats!

Rose, can I call you a party animal? It looks like you were having a good time and good eats.

I think you may have a graduation earlier than high school. Kids do it now for kindergarten and even prekindergarten. And for grade school and from junior high. Hang in there!

Happy RT!

Never heard of graduation parties before. But then I'm from another culture.
Sounds sensible to give money to a students.
Education is expensive all over the world.
Now you know h how to do it when your little girlie is leaving home.
I can only promise you, time flies.
