My mother has a small store in our house which is called as sari sari store in the Philippines. Whenever I send her money, she always fills it up with stuff. What I don't like about it is that, some of the patrons their are so abusive to her kindness. They would loan the product and would not pay for it for a long time. As a result, the store is getting empty without a return on the investment.
I told my mother when we went home last year that she has to learn how to say no to them. I always end up giving her the working capital of her small store. Over there, factoring company is difficult to obtain especially if you don't have to anything to give for a collateral. Unlike here in the states, there are a lot of places where you can obtain a working capital for your business.
I am waiting till it's day time over in the Philippines so I can call my Mom who will be celebrating her 57th birthday today. I asked my good friend over in school to prepare an envelope for my Mom for her birthday. I am sure she would put it all in her store again.
