Sled Ride Fun

All the snow have melted  already but I am glad that we  took advantage of it when it was still here.  We went sled riding by the college.  John and Rye went first because I was waiting for my son to finish doing   something.  When we were finally out, the two were coming back home.  So I wasn't able to take pictures of  the little lady when she wiped out lol.  Nevertheless, I took a picture of her in our front porch before  my son and I left.
We are having a very mild weather this year.  We were in the lower 50s today which was really nice.  We could have went for a walk but we   did some important stuff so we were not able to do our  outdoor walk.
Anyway, this little guys here is a lot of fun to go sled riding with.  He can stay  outside as long as you let him to.
We had so much fun out there but  I couldn't take the  wind  blowing in our faces so our stay wasn't very long.  I asked him for us to go home.
He agreed for us to go home in one condition, that I would go down too lol.
I didn't really want to do it but I did anyway just so we could go home.
I tell you, sled riding is a lot of exercise.  You laugh a lot and the walk going up is a good exercise.
After I went down a couple of times, I thought we were ready to go but he bargained for another round, whew.
How can I say no to this  smiley face.
Overall it was a lot of fun, my son and I  definitely had a good laugh and exercise  with what we did.   Every year, when winter hits, we try to have fun in the snow because we feel bad that the kids are always confined inside the house.  It gets boring inside so even though it's freezing outside, we  try to go out and have fun.

  2. I live where it is warm now, but I used to live up where it was cold and snowy. I never did really like the snow all that much. It looks like you all had a wonderful time though. I would love to bring my son to the snow at some point so he can enjoy some sledding.

  6. Oh my gosh, how fun! I have to admit that I am incredibly jealous just looking at your pictures because I live in Ohio and we have barely seen any snow this season. It’s February 3rd and it rained all day. It looks like a fun day was had by all. Thank you for sharing your adventure!

  8. Sledding was one of the kids favorite past times in the winter. I will have to see if they want to go this weekend.

  10. It looks like you all had a fun time indeed sledding. When we were kids that is all we did was sledding after school and on weekends. Here we have a sledding area and actually a sled slide open to the public. I have never went down the slide but my kids always had a blast doing it.

  14. Sledding is such a fun winter activity! It wears the kiddos out fast too! The adrenaline of going down hill and then the tiresome climb back up the hill! The kids love it and we try to go every time it snows!

  15. Sled riding can be so much fun. I know we always enjoy it with our kids - as long as you can find that perfect hill!

  16. Looks like your son had a blast! I'm not a winter person and so wouldn't mind having mild winters every year. If we only got one snow fall during winter, I would be totally happy with that.

  17. For the last two days here in Michigan the snow has been melting away. But today, it started to snow again. It has been a pretty mild winter, but not mild enough for me. I can't wait to get back south to warmer weather.

  18. Looks you did have a lot of fun! I hope my little old knees could still climb steep inclines. I would enjoy sledding if I could walk up an incline without the usual "ouch ouch ouchy!"

  21. This sounds like a ton of fun. I kinda wish we had snow so my kids can go sledding. One year they used the laundry basket to slide down our driveway.

  24. We got a lot of snow for our area (Virginia), but they don't clear the roads, so we couldn't get to hills to sled until most of the snow was melted.
