From Korea with Love

Kim Min Young  is a very special friend that  my family met  when we were living in South Korea.   She was introduced to me by someone  who work in the base   when she was looking for  someone who could teach her English.    I taught her  for several months  but then we had to leave the country.  We were all sad  because she is like a family to us already.  
Her English name is Amy and she is very tall.  When she walks beside, I look like a kid. hahaha..

My kids were very fond of her.  We truly miss you Amy, I wish that we could go back and visit so we can see each other again.  I am glad that she is keeping in touch with with me.

She sent us a package  last Christmas and they are so cute.  Thank you  (Kamsa Hamnida) Amy!  The box was tore up when it arrived but  the items are all okay.  I think the custom sifted through it thoroughly.

She said that the bag is for good luck, we hang it at our front door during the new year.  She calls it fortune pouch.  Next to it is a set of coasters.  She also sent   a set of pens with a traditional Korean character on the caps, and a  a very pretty pencil case.  From the bottom of our hearts, thanks a lot Amy!

I thank God for blessing us with good  friends!

New Year's Eve

We visited my FIL earlier on December 31st and headed home. We did not stayed as we normally do for the past years. We wanted to start the year at our home.  Our daughter stayed awake with us until the  ball dropped but Mr. Burrito  snoozed early.

We have a veggie tray for snack, a healthy way to start the new year.  2012 is the year of the Dragon.  Who among you were born  in the year of the Dragon?  My Zodiac Sign is Gemini and according to Chinese Astrology, I was born in year of the Oxen (water Ox).  How about you?  Zodiac Sign Astrology  says that:

Christmas Day

Christmas day is when we usually open up gifts so "Santa" can discreetly deliver the gifts to the kids.  Ms. Burrito  got the green machine but I don't think she will be able to use it soon, it's quite big for her.  Mr. Burrito  on the other hand love the bike she got  from "Santa".  Now the Miss wants a bike wahhhh.

 Thanks to the Dias family for sending us  presents all the way from Texas.  A sweet lady from Minnesota also sent the kids a beautiful gifts.  Ms. Burrito has been reading it Ate Kim. 

Champ  is very interested  with the Connect 4 game lol.

Dress Up Time Game

Ms. Burrito  got this  red dress when  my NIL had their garage sale.  It's one of Shelby's costume in a dance competition and Ms. Burrito just love it.  It still big for her but she took it anyway lol.

We were stuck at home  a couple of days before Christmas due to  too much rai outside.  To keep  Ms. Burrito entertained, we  played dress up time when I dug out this dress at the closet.  I am not a dancer nor have a body for the dress but I played anyway lol.

Don't take this seriously folks, we are just having  fun at home.

Before I end  this post, lemme tell you a little secret.  I never liked Algebra subject ,  I am not fond of figuring out the X and Ys lol.  Hubby  on the other hand   finds this subject very easy.  I am glad that Ms. Burrito is like her Dad, she can solve   basic algebra problems now, hubby is training her.
