Doddridge County Park, West Union West Virginia #FamilyReunion

On September 11 , 2021, we went to Doddridge County Park in West Union, WV for a family reunion.  It was our first time attending a Cottrill family get-together.  I'm glad we decided to go because we got to meet some of my husband's relatives.  It was a long drive (147 miles) but it was worth the time.  The scenery was beautiful, though I didn't like the winding roads.
It took us a little over 2 hours to find the place.
The park was beautiful, I wish we could have roamed around to take pictures, but we didn't have much time as we got busy mingling and getting to know some of the relatives that we were just meeting for the first time.
My minions are in their age where they are so awkward in meeting people.  I'm glad they get to see familiar faces and had a chance to hangout.

We played bean bag toss to entertain the youngsters.
We didn't stay very long since we had a long drive and we have our dogs waiting at home.

We took a group picture before we left.  I wish I would have a recorded a video so I could remember everyone's name.
After being cooped up at home due to covid restrictions, it was really nice to be able to go somewhere and meet people, especially relatives.  I hope we could attend again if there's another family reunion in the coming years.
