Everything Your Dog Sitter Needs When You Go On Holiday

Many people worry about leaving their dog when they go away on holiday. This can be for various reasons. One of the main ones is that they have never left their dog for a prolonged period of time before. Another reason is perhaps you have to leave your dog with someone who isn’t its usual dog sitter. Whatever the reason, there really is no need to worry about your dog and the dog sitter. As long as you tell the sitter the following things before you leave, I’m sure your dog will get on just fine without you!

Leave Keys And Security System Info

This is very important – make sure that your dog sitter has all the keys they will need while they are staying in your home. Ensure that they have the keys for the front and back doors. If they need to have access to a shed or any outbuildings, be sure to leave those keys as well. Do you have an alarm or other security system fitted in your home? If so, make sure the sitter knows how to use this and deactivate an alarm when needed. Once your sitter has all the keys, you don’t need to worry about the sitter and your dog getting locked out!

Leave Information About Medication

If your dog needs to take medication regularly, make sure that you write down all the doses they need for each medicine. You should also make sure that you have plenty of common medication stocked at home. This is in case the dog sitter has to deal with any fleas or other common illnesses. Need to buy some new medication before you leave? You can find reviews on trifexis and other dog health problems online.

Write Down Microchip Info

Your dog should be microchipped so that he or she can be easily found if she ever goes missing. Before you leave for the holiday, write down the microchip number and give it to the dog sitter. You should also give them your dog’s registration information as well. This will all come in useful if the dog goes missing while you are away. Your sitter can give this information to the police, who can distribute it to all the local pounds. Once the pounds have this, they can easily tell if they pick up your pooch.

Make Sure Your Sitter Has A Backup

Double check if your sitter has a partner or friend who will be able to take over in case of an emergency. This will come in very useful if your sitter falls sick while you are away and is unable to take your dog out for its regular walks. If your sitter doesn’t know anyone who can take over, you may prefer to give her a friend or relative’s phone number. This should be someone who you know is willing to help the sitter out if they ever find themselves unable to fully look after your dog.

Don’t worry about your dog while they are away; this checklist can help you get some peace of mind!

Busch Gardens: Part 1

We were suppose to go to Bush garden last year but it got cancelled because  of  the kennel's cancellation that was suppose to board our dogs at the last minute.  So this year, it was one of our main destinations during our road trip and mini vacation in Williamsburg Virginia.  We went there on July 8, the day after  our daughter's birthday.  The place does not open until 9 but we went there very early after we ate breakfast at Denny's.
Busch Gardens offers fun for the whole family, from world-class roller coasters, rides, and slides to character appearances, shows, and animal interactions, you name it.  You can take the summer of thrills quiz to find out whether you are a Scream Seeker or more of a Junior Looper.  My daughter definitely belong to a scream seeker while I am on the other  option lol.     I love that that they have  kid-friendly online  tips on things to do in the parks and ride suggestions.  They are planning to have the  InvadR™, their very  first wooden roller coaster that will come in  in 2017.
Busch Gardens offers hidden adventure from every angle.
When we went to  the Waterworld USA  the day before, we were told by the admission  agent that military can avail discount  when going to  Busch Gardens so we were like "cool!"  So when we  asked for a discount  in BG,  the lady told us that  you have to buy  the tickets online to avail the discount.  Hmmmn, it doesn't make sense to me because  anyone can say   they are  military member online and they have to  way of checking it.  Military discount should be given  at the  admission booth so they can ask for military ID as proof.  But we didn't argue since that was  their rules.  I just find it odd that they do it that way.
Anyway, it was a great decision to go there early because  the line was just starting when we came.
I love the entrance, it's very  colorful and filled with  plants and flowers.
I have no idea what this cute building is for but we didn't tried to look around there.  We just went directly to the park as the kids were excited to see what's there to ride and see.
I am always behond them as I try to capture  different things.
I love  how they incorporated  France, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, England, and  Italy into the parks theme.
We get to feel like we were in a different country as we explored the park.
I am not sure if  I want to go back there again though.  As beautiful as it is, amusement park is not really for me.  It's fun for the kids that's why we go  but for me, I would rather  go to a place wqhere it's not crowded like the Jamestown Beach  or the quite and beautiful Waller Mills Park that we visited.  But while  the kids are into amusement park, we can still go.  Maybe when they are a little  older we can just visit a relaxing place and chill.

How to choose a moving company

As many of  you who read my blogs regularly knows that we just recently  moved to a new house  few months ago.  It's been a really busy  time for us  because we  did some home improvements to this house  before we moved in.  We had all the flooring done, applied a fresh coat of pain  on all the walls,  and now we are  having  new  windows put in.  We did most of the  works ourselves except the the tiles in the kitchen, and family room.  If we would have enough time, we would have done the tiles too  in order to save money but  the former owner  occupied the house for another 30 days after we closed the sale.
We got the Ultimate Moving Checklist From Home Depot   and also rented all the equipment and tools we used  there since we did not have those specific cools that we need .  Moving is stressful not only physically  but also emotionally.  It can be emotionally draining and not to mention  the financial expenses that comes with it.   We did not hire a professional  movers but we got some help from  some my husband's co workers and  our neighbors.  We rented a truck and with other people's help, we moved most of our stuff.  We had to do two separate move because we didn't get to finish hauling everything out in one day.  One of the  other things that we didn't attempt to move is the piano and refrigerator.  We hired a professional piano mover to do it.  My husband asked a relative to help him  move the refrigerator as I couldn't help him with it.

It is really nice though that you can  obtain a  Moving Company License Checker online and  see your options.  It will give you an idea  or a guide on how to choose a moving company.     When my husband was  still in the  military, we didn't have to worry about the expenses of moving because they took care of everything for us, that's one thing I missed about  the military but I am glad he is now retired.  We don't have to worry about him being sent overseas.

I felt so relieved this month because we finally sold  our old home.  I mean we received the offer back in July but we didn't get to close till this month.  The buyer have requested  us to do some stuff, we agreed to some of it but the other stuff, we declined.  I am just glad, we don't have to  pay two mortgages anymore, it's been stiff paying for two every month!  I feel like a strong weight has been lifted off my shoulder.  This has been quite a wild ride and journey for us.

It's been..
