Travel Fine Dining

As a family of four, we seldom go on a fine dining restaurant. We chose to go where family style is being offered for a more cost-effective and family friendly atmosphere. However, when we were still in Korea, we sometimes go on a fancy restaurant just to explore the local cuisine especially when we are on a getaway. I remember when we went to the island of Jeju, we really had the taste of exotic cuisine from this restaurant that we dined in to. Glad the kids were behaved the whole time we were there.

The photos below were taken when we were in Palo Alto during the Doodle4Google event hosted by Google. Google booked us in Sheraton Hotel which is a beautiful hotel. Our stay comes with free breakfast which the kids love as the selection of food were plenty.

Then we went downtown to try one of the Thai restaurant, It was sort of a fine dining because it has specific dedicated meal courses and the servers were in uniform and you get the feel of a high quality restaurant because of the decors. I love that they serve family style menus that the kids like.

Traveling is one pleasurable hobby that my family love doing. If only we could afford it, we would probably be traveling all the time lol. Aside from the new places to explore, you also get to try different cuisines from different cultures. One of the many places that is in my bucket list of places to visit is the Middle East. Hubby has been to few places there and he said that food out there is great. One of the ones I have came across online is the Pier 7. It's one of the leading place for fine dining in Dubai

I'm not much of a traveler but I do enjoy a fine dining experience every once in a while. Living near NYC I can get virtually any ethnic food I am wanting try.

I loved reading your blog but your pics are not there for me. I love eating outdoors. Be it on a pier or in a pretty garden setting. On a blanket in the park. Fine dining is always nice thought.

We are not a fine dining kind of family, either. My kids know how to act at those types of places, but we are more of a pizza or burgers kind of family!

I love traveling and fine dining is one of the things I enjoy when I'm on a trip. It isn't top priority but it's always a nice experience especially when you're in another country. PS. Your photos aren't showing :(

Sorry for those who can't view the photos, I am not sure why it is not sowing at your end because I can view them fine. It might something to do with browser or something.

Your photos are not showing up for me. I, too, like fine dining occasionally, especially when traveling.

Bummer. I re-uploaded them, hopefully they are showing up this time.

I dont believe we've ever gone fine dining with our kids. My kiddos behave when we are out so I'm confident they'd do well while out fine dining but we just generally do take out or something quick! I'm not sure why but that's just how it's been!

I love when I can find a GOOD Thai restaurant. I can be rather picky because I am half-Thai so this one sounds promising ;)

One of the best parts of travelling is getting to try new foods! My husband and I are on a tight budget right now, so fast food is usually what we go for, haha. :)

We only go out to eat a few times a month. Once or twice just me and hubs and generally once with kiddo. I do pretty much all of the cooking.

I like the Sheraton! There aren't enough of them around anymore. There's a bunch of them in New England, but I didn't realize they had west coast locations too- cool!

Great photos! I would love to try those dishes! Thank you for sharing.

I love trying new foods, especially southeastern Asian fare. I'd love to be able to travel like you do and get them first hand instead of the watered down "Americanized" versions.

I am not sure what the one on the top is.. some sort of fried pinwheel/lavash? It looks delicious though.
