Easy Ways to De-Clutter Your Child’s Bedroom

Having children means that you’re used to mess and clutter. But that doesn’t mean that you have to put up with it everywhere, every day. Your child may have a messy streak, and find it hard to keep things tidy. But there are a number of ways that you can help them to de-clutter their room and inspire them to keep it tidy. Here are some easy tips for de-cluttering your child’s bedroom.

Shelves

Shelves are great for when children want to display their favourite toys. You can install them easily yourself, and help your child to come up with different themes for each shelf. If they enjoy displaying their favourite things, they are less likely to leave them lying around on the floor. Help your child to be proud of the way their rooms and items are presented and their room will be less cluttered in no time.

Desk

The same thing goes for your child’s drawing, painting or writing equipment. Consider buying – or even making – them a desk where they can keep all of their pencils and pens. Your child will enjoy sitting at their desk and keeping all of their things organised.

Storage

If your child has things that they don’t use anymore, consider storing them somewhere else in the house. This doesn’t have to be forever, and you can tell your child that they are still there, just kept somewhere else. If they’re room is a place where they display all of their favorite things, they shouldn’t mind you putting some of their old, used toys in storage until they decide they want them again. Fort Knox Brisbane has a number of storage boxes you can choose from.

Bunk Bed

One of the most common ways for children to keep their room clean is to have a bunk bed. But this doesn’t have to mean two beds. You can purchase bunks with one bed on top and a space underneath for storage or for your child to play. This is a great way of encouraging them to keep their things tidy, as it gives them their own little space to look after. Giving your child responsibility like this may be just what they need to start keeping their room tidy and taking pride in its appearance.

Playroom

Maybe you have a space that is going unused. An attic, basement or steel building that could easily be converted into some kind of playroom? If so, this can be a great way to de-clutter your child’s room. Let them keep their favourite things in there, but move everything else into a playroom.

Keeping a child’s room clean can be difficult – especially if you are trying to encourage them to keep it clean themselves. But buy showing them that they can display their things and take pride in their room, you are helping them to understand responsibility. Many children love to show off their toys by keeping their room clean and de-cluttered.

Sea World WAlkathon

The good thing about going to an amusement park like Sea World is the fitness  benefits that you get as you do a lot of  walking.  It's a great avenue to put the children's strength to test without them noticing it as they are excited to explore.
Sea World is huge but our three  angels never  complained the whole time we were doing walkathon the whole day.  They were on the go the whole time.  It is us, adults that kind of lie lowed as the day progresses.  We just don't have that  energy that the children have.
My kids misses  Akesha so much.  They wish that we live nearby so we can go places together as the two family both have the same interest when it comes to having fun outdoors.

Grand Entrance to Sea World San Antonio

I am finally getting some time to dig through my old pictures taken from last year during our  getaway in San Antonio Texas.  I got busy with personal stuff  last year that I did not have enough time to share all the fun-filled adventures that we had in Texas.  Sharing here with you is the grand entrance going inside the Sea World.

Before we embark on our long walks and falling in long queue, a photo of of the beautiful angels that we have with us.

Deep Creek Marina

I can't wait till we can go on a road trip once again. I miss the long drive and the beautiful scenery.
I managed to get a quick snap of this  river view at Deep Creek Marina, when we had our   road trip last year.  Hubby and I plan to  stop by at this  place when we go  there again.  Driving along the river was relaxing.  The view makes me want to stop and rent a boat so we go for a boat ride.

I saw a beautiful house on the other side of the river.  I wonder if they ever get scared when the water is high?

Ending this post with a happy traveler.

I a so congested right now and it's not  a good feeling.  My eyes are watery and I keep sneezing.

Vacation Pleasure #River Walk in Alamo Texas

During our Alamo  adventures, it was so hot that day that the  boat ride to the Alamo River or the famous River Walk  gave us pleasant pleasure  for a little while.  Here are  some of the photos I snapped.

It was a  short-lived boat ride but it  gave us  comfort and  immediate relief from heat and a bit of relaxation.  Our tour guide was very good and entertaining.  It made the whole journey  more enjoyable and educational.  Texas is very rich with history.

Thanks to a dear friend for taking our family picture.

I will post some more photos of our Texas Adventure soon.  I am not feeling too well today.

Valentine's Lingerie

Drum roll please. tadadadada!   Well, guess what's coming up, yeah I know that's a lame question but the real question is, are you ready for the V-day?  I still haven't decided yet what I am going to get for my husband.  I feel like I am running out of time because time flies without us even noticing it slip by.  Anyway, the photo below will sum up how we pretty much celebrated last year.  I told my husband that if he is going to get me flowers, it better be something that I can  grow so he got me  a pot of mini roses which I really love.  If you will come by our ho]use, you will see in the front house how many mini roses I have planted and they are beautiful when in bloom.

So what else can we do to surprise our special man on Valentine's day?  Well, we can buy a  new
Valentine's Lingerie from GlamoRose or anywhere and  wear it during the  occasion.  I am sure that husband's appreciates it when their wife  is being  playful  during their intimate moment.  Wearing  a sexy lingerie would make your husband want you even more.  Just my two cents but we all have  an opinion, so whatever it is that you are planning, I am sure your husband will truly appreciate it.  Below are my picks.

USS Lexington #Flight Deck

Going inside the USS Lexington in Corpus Cristi, Texas sure brought a lot of  memories for my husband during the times when he was still in the service.  IT was an educational  thing that we did as we learned about the history.  When we first got inside, we watched a video presentation of how  the airplane was  invented/created.  Then after the presentation, we went on the flight deck where there are  planes  being displayed.

Surely is a fun time we had  with the Dias family.

As you can see, not only that the kids enjoyed it but the big kids as well lol.

Graduation Dresses for 2014

My youngest sister is  now in her senior year.  She is doing her practicum, teaching  elementary  students.  In a couple of months or so, she will be a candidate for graduation if all goes well (which I am hoping).  She wishes I could come home and witness her graduation.  As much as I would like to, I couldn't because my  kids are still in school on that time and  if we go home, it's so dang expensive.

How about you, do you have any siblings that is graduating this year?

Journey of an Immigrant

A journey of an immigrant  is not easy.  Just getting out from my former country was  harder than I thought.  I spent two more years  living in the Philippines before my application to come here was  granted.  It was a great challenge for me and my husband as we  were living miles apart.  He was living  in Guam back then.  Thanks to the technology, we were able to survive the separation.   After 8 1/2 years of living here, I finally became one of them, a US citizen.

We were given a packet during the oath taking ceremony.  Inside the packet was an excerpt of the message  by the President of the United States.  The message was also shown at his video that was shown to us during the program.

Inside the packet also includes a Voter's Guide, the Citizen Almanac book, application form for U.S. passport, and the booklet for the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

Although I am living here for  the past 8 years already, becoming a citizen is yet a new  chapter, a new journey to  enjoy with my family.

How about you, do you any experience like me?

Traveling With Kids

Many people have discovered the benefits of using a travel agent to help plan a vacation. One of the benefits is that an experienced travel agent can offer suggestions to a person on what to see in a particular location as well as where to eat and where to stay. All of these suggestions would be unique to the traveler's needs. For instance, a traveler may plan to take several children along with him or her. The agent would be able to suggest family friendly restaurants and accommodations. Here are some other benefits of using a travel agent when arranging vacation plans.
A Collection of Resources

A travel agent has the resources to find accommodations, restaurants and activities that suit a traveler's budget. A travel agent lays out all of the options and the traveler chooses what he or she wants. Alternatively, a person who is making travel arrangements on his or her own must take the time to sift through dozens of resources. This takes up a lot of a traveler's spare time! An agent is there to streamline the process and save a traveler both time and effort.
Answering Questions

Another benefit of using a travel agent when planning a trip is that the person is there to answer questions. When a person conducts a search online for travel options, he or she may have questions that don't get answered. A travel agent is available to answer a person's questions about prices, details regarding a destination and more. This is a convenience that many people appreciate. If someone in North Carolina is thinking about taking a trip, one of the first things he or she might do is to contact a Durham travel agent.

Problem Solving

Finally, a major benefit of working with a travel agent is that the traveler has someone to call if he or she experiences problems. For instance, a traveler may encounter problems at a hotel with the specifics of a room reservation. The person can call his or her travel agent to get help in addressing the situation. Or, a traveler may have trouble finding a particular attraction in a new city. A travel agent can also be helpful in assisting a traveler with directions. Most travelers feel more at ease in an unfamiliar city or town when they have a travel agent that they can call for assistance.
