Product of Creativity

Remember the Bliss Meltaway chocolate that was sent to me by a kind blogger, Jann?  She included it in the box when she shipped the prize I won from her giveaway.  Anyhow,  a couple of days ago, me and Ms. Burrito were doing her homework at our kitchen and I ate one of it.  I thought of making the wrapper into  a flower and it looked nice.  Ms. Burrito even asked me to put it in her ear lol.
Here's the product of our creativity.

Gemstones and Minerals

One of the most favorite things that Ms. Burrito did at the farm last pumpkin season was  finding rocks and minerals.  There was a stall at Janoski's Farm  where you can   sift through the sand and water and find these gemstones and minerals.  The fee is $5  for each small bag of sand.  It was a big hit for the kids.
The rocks they found at  the sand is not really worth  the amount you paid but the JOY that  the child feels when they are doing the  "Finding Treasure"  was well worth it.
Ms. Burrito's friend  screamed "I am  a millionaire" when she found the  false or fool's  gold lol.  I was glad that I let her do it because  now she has a little knowledge about certain rocks.  She even   brought her collection  in school for show and tell and the teacher complimented her for that.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Gifts Delivered

Cheesecake Trio & Full Half Dozen Gourmet Dipped Fancy Berries
We will be getting the   chocolates that we ordered  from a company that sponsors the  latest  fund raising at my daughter's school.   Am sure the kids will have a blast delivering   the items again at our neighbors.  I like this idea that grandma gifts delivered is offering online.  Their selection of sweet treats and other    gift items are  very nice so if you are looking for some to be given away as gifts, check out the site.

YoYo

We bought our son a big Yoyo from the  store a few weeks ago.  He is very proud that he can  toss it back and forth now.  Before , he was just rolling it on the floor and we showed him how to use it and he was  very happy that he knows how to do it now.  He broke the string of it already so I am looking for a replacement at the   yoyofactory online and  surprised to see different kinds.  My son would love these selection for sure.

Family Picture

They say that  Ms. Burrito looks like me but when you look at my husband's baby picture, the little Miss looks  just like her Dad.  A lot of people also say that  Mr. Burrito looks like his Dad but  he actually looks like my youngest brother  but with fair skin and hazel eyes.  What do you think?

Miracle Gro's Expand 'n Gro

This post brought to you by Scotts®. All opinions are 100% mine.

EnG Product Shot.png
We went to  Lowe's last weekend to look for some patio furniture for our porch  but we did not buy any of the one we liked as it was way too expensive.  We ended up buying  a set online at a different store.  While we were there, we  first explored their garden area.  I was looking for  the Expand ‘n Gro™  concentrated planting mix but I did not see one.  I think they don't have it in store yet.    I would like to try it because I read a review  that it significantly improve soil for years.  The coconut coir  in the Expand 'n Gro  reminds me of the way my father used to plant orchids.  He would   get the coconut husk and used it to wrap the  orchid's roots before he sticks  or tie it in a wood.  It's  like a medieval way of planting but it really worked well.

Expand 'n Gro is a concentrated   planting mix that would expand up to three times when  you add water in it thus, it would increase your  flower  and vegetables to up to three times than using   the ordinary soil.  Sounds pretty good isn't it?  That's one reason why I want to try this product.  Do you want to  check it out?  Leave me a comment here and  you can receive a free sample.

Shopping for St. Patrick Celebration

We went to Fort Steuben Mall last weekend to find Ms. Burrito an outfit for St. Patrick's Day. She will be reading during the mass which she is very proud of because she got the long part of the reading. Her teacher talked to my husband yesterday and told him that she is very proud of our daughter for having the confidence and for doing great in school.  It warms our hearts to know that  our daughter is doing  good in school.
Before we went shopping, we let them play for a while.
Aside from the  clothes we bought for Ms. Burrito, I also found this pretty pink  house slippers.

Cosmetic Treatments

Living in a foreign place can be very  stressful especially  for a woman like me who  isn't that great in  blending in with crowds.  I am kind of reserve and a home buddy type.  I have so many  worries especially raising my kids because I have questions, doubts, and reservations about my capacity to raise them well.  What if I won't be able to do all my responsibilities.  Sometimes I feel bad that my kids can't do the things they want to do because my skills in doing it with them is very limited.  Praying to God to guide me is the thing  I mostly do.  With these bundle of worries, I  see how it affects my  physical attributes.  I am a woman that  like to just just look naturally so I don't really use  any cosmetics.  I am not that type of woman who would  go for  anti wrinkle injections  to make their looks better and beautiful.  But I don't hold that against them as they  are entitled to whatever they want and that everyone is  free to do   what they think is best.  What good about  these days is the unlimited options that women can do to  improve their physical looks.

Fire Pit

My husband is very ambitious hehehe.  He has a lot of planned project to do this year, my only concern is the budget, but let us see.    He said that if we can afford, we will buy a fire pit  that we can use at the back.  He also want to turn our dining room into  a bedroom.    I asked him if we could turn our small closet into a bigger one by opening up the  walls and just put a sliding door.  I don't know if we will be able to do all the  projects he has lined up fr this year.

Precious Moments with Dad on Hubby's Birthday

After we devour on the food that my kids and I prepared for hubby's birthday, we went and visited my FIL. We went for a walk at Marland Heights so our fur baby, Champ, will have some exercise outside.
Ms. Burrito is fascinated with this big ice cream cone display hehehe.
Champ had a ball  playing with Dad and Ms. Burrito.
Dad likes Champ, as you can see  the latter is sitting comfortably in his lap.
"How pleasant it is for a father to sit at his child's board.
It is like an aged man reclining under the shadow
of an oak which he has planted."
Dad is turning 90 years old in few moments and I am glad that  we have precious moments with him while he is still able to  enjoy our company.
