Chapel Hill Memorial Garden

We went to Chapel Hill Memorial Garden last weekend to visit our departed loved ones. Tow of my brothers-in-law (Dave and Harold), my mother-in-law, My husband's Aunt, and my SIL's son were laid to rest in the said cemetery.
Next month would be   Dave's first year death anniversary.  My husband is still mourning over losing his brother from cancer.  His Mom and Aunt also died from cancer so it is very painful for the family.
His two brothers are side by side and  few feet away is my MIL's grave.  I admire the love that my FIL has for his wife, it's inspiring!
How often do you   visit your departed loved ones?

My family is so spread out, my brother was buried in Salisbury, Rhodesia (now Harare Zimbabwe) age 21 after a car accident. My father's ashes were cast to sea off of Cape Town South Africa which was his wish. My Mother's ashes are in her mother's grave, with my godmother, in Bath in England. I have no aunts or uncles. Nigel's family are mostly all in the same cemetery as my mother which makes visiting there the easiest.
But where ever they are they are always in my thoughts which I think is the most important. Diane

If thoughts count, daily. Beautiful pictures and so sorry about you and your loved one's losses. Cancer is a formidable foe which is one of reasons I am constantly compelled to research herbals and nutrition.

Blessings.

Looks like a special family moment. Peace to all.

Love the pink dress. Immediately thought Pretty in Pink. :)

Thank you for stopping by the shop, still catching up with all the pinks. I love visiting with you each week, but since you have so many blogs, I truly appreciate it when you include the link to your Pink Saturday post in your comment, my friend. Thx. :)
Happy pinks!

Very sweet. I don't visit my mom's grave, but I think of her and miss her so much, so very often.

Oh My Goodness! I just visited the cemetery where my folks, sister, grandparents and many other relatives are buried. My niece took us to the grave of her friends daughter. Se took her own life at the age of 17. My nephew Ryan was a good friend. He is very devastated. My aunt (by marriage) lost her mom when she was young and her dad married my paternal grandmother! That's all in the family!
I love to visit the cemetery. I had to stop by my Uncle Tom's grave and tell him his beloved Cowboys won their season opener football game!
It is always hard to visit my folks. I miss them so much!
Our unborn daughter is buried in a cemetery about 30 minutes from our home. It is hard to go visit, we could never afford the grave marker!
Your post was kind and thoughtful. Thank you for the share. Hugs Anne

Very touching post! Visiting the cemetery makes me feel more in touch with my past and helps me remember the good times. I do visit at least two or three times a year. Thanks for sharing.
