Market Street Bridge

We crossed the bridge that connects Follansbee and Steubenville a couple of weeks ago.  Market Street Bridge was renovated last year and was reopened  right around Christmas last year.
We seldom drive this way so we wanted to see how it was after it  was reopened for pubic use.
We treat the kids at Dairy Queen afterwards.

LOVE the shots of the rigging and framework against that gorgeous blue sky! But maybe that's because I also LOVE bridges!!

Greetings from downunder in Australia!!

Bridges make for great shadow opportunities!

When I was in Steubenville in college (decades ago), I hated the Market Street Bridge, especially the metal roadway deck. But it was the shorter route to Follansbee and Wellsburg, so it was the way to go. Also, the original Fort Steuben Bridge was a narrow two lanes, and I did not driving across it, especially with big trucks going the other way. The new 1990 Route 22 bridge is much nicer with six lanes both ways. Ah, the memories!

Hi Ralph, I don't like the feel of the grid when we crossed it but the kids thought it was pretty cool lol.

Hello Rose !
I love the treats the kids got afterwards LOL!
Bridges are fascinating aren't they ?
I have a bit of a phobia if they are very high like the one we have connecting us to the States .. Thousand Island Bridge .. it is long and WAY UP in the air ! This one wasn't too bad at all : )
