Family Thanksgiving 2011

The day before Thanksgiving day, my Burritos and I made some lumpia. Then on the morning of the holiday, we made some putos.  Ms. Burrito is always willing to help out with the kitchen chores and the cooking.

Preserving the memories through taking fotos of the moment.

Everyone  was present but  late Dave, we all miss his presence.

The kids  had so much fun.  It's nice once again to be able to see everyone in the family.

I bet some of you  snagged some pretty good deals on toys and other gadgets such as psp for your   kids.    I chanced upon the Cyber week sale online and the it looks like a very good price for  some of those games compared to the ones that I've seen before.    I don't really  let my  kids play with this kind of stuff so   I don't plan on buying one.    For those of you who  wants to get PSP  for Christmas gift, check out the link above.

Remembering 2010's Thanksgiving - Nostalgia # 80

My Nostalgia this week is uber late so pardon me folks. I was very busy since yesterday so I wasn't able to blog.  I was gonna  blog late last night but then my  PC caught a  virus from the  site that  Ms. Burrito had visited searching for a Wombat.  So be careful in opening links with wombat.

Anyhow, these photos were taken last year's Thanksgiving when my BIL Dave was still around.  We  never had a clue then that the cancer is slowly  eating him up.   Our celebration this year was still  great although we were missing him.

Spirit Week

The students at St. Joseph School (SJS) Fall into Fun by doing different   stuff  the whole week.

• Monday was Fall Fashion Day where  they wore they favorite Fall colors.  I chose three different outfits but daughter picked this set.

• Tuesday  was Fall into Friendship where they can do something nice for their  classmates.  It could either be something that they do, make, or they can bring  in a small treat.  My daughter made some friendship ring made  out of beads.

She also made some  simple cards and wrote message  to each of them.  She gave  some of her classmates  a copy of her class picture.

• Wednesday was Wacky Hat Wednesday.  I'll reserve the photos of this one  on letter W of ABC Wednesday hehehe.
• Thursday was a Treats Day.  They decorated   their own cupcakes.
• Friday was a Spirit Day, they wore their  SJS apparel to show their school spirit.

Sun Catchers

 My daughter had  a four day weekend last week due to Veteran's Day and  Parents-Teachers Meeting so I have to come up with a project that they  can do.  We went to the Dollar Tree and bought a pack of this Sun Catchers  Christmas kit.  

 I am glad that Mr. Burrito is showing interest in doing arts now.  He is also starting to draw faces and other stuff.

 Simple things like this can really  keep them busy and  hone their creativity.  This is better than just letting your kids just watch TV.

Stand Up for Family

Have you seen the videos of the Stand Up For Family show at AmFam?  This comedy special is sponsored by the American Family Insurance is  hosted by  Bill Bellamy.  This show aims to entertain  every member of the family by the  some of the most entertaining stand up comedian like Rodney Perry, Bill Bellamy, Donnell Rawling, Tony Roberts, and Mark Viera.  But  my favorite one among them all is Mark Viera.  He has this face that is naturally  funny  and he delivers his line with clarity.   My favorite videos  of him is the  "Not Leaving my Wife" and  "In the Window",  I was really cracking up while  watching the videos.  My four year old son asked me "What's so funny Mom"?

I am not fond of  comedy shows on TV but I like this one because  the jokes are so practical.  It's based on a reality and they  deliver it so funny that you would really laugh.  What i  like about  Mark Viera is his facial expression and  he doesn't  do too much screaming like the others do.  If you  visit the  site and watch  one of his videos, you would surely laugh.    I think that Amfam did a great  job in showcasing this kind of  show as it  gives family a bonding  moment while sharing laughs and  have fun!

Autumn Breeze Nostalgia # 79

Another walk we did at Marland Heights for us to be able to enjoy the Autumn breeze while it lasts.  Of course, I don't go without my camera in handy hehehe.  Using my point and shoot  Sony, we got some cool shots.  The  coat that Mr. Burrito  is wearing was given to him  by her Godparents a couple of years ago and it just fit  him now.

Next month will be the  second year  when we got our  first family pet.  Champ is a Jack Russell Terrier and  he is always full of energy ready to rock our world.  He love to play goalie and Frisbee .  I think that if we dedicate our  whole day to him, he won't be tired of playing.    I just wish that I have that kind of energy hahaha.    As you can see in the photos at my sidebar, we used to have  a Pomeranian too.  The kids loved her but we have to let her go because we couldn't contain her inside, she love to run away every chance she gets.  Please don't forget to  share via  comment section, who are you going to vote for.  Thanks!

Inexpensive Outfit

Just something to do at Dad's house. I went upstairs and set the self timer on my point and shoot Sony and showcased the inexpensive pants I got at JCP. I think, I bought it for under 5 bucks.My Sweater  was bought on sale (can't remember how much but it was cheap) then the shoes I got for free at Listia.

I'm just having fun folks, that's my  key to staying young (at heart) lol.  Nahh, am just testing my flexibility and I found out that  it's deteriorating hahaha.
