VBS Journey

We were able to encourage our son to join the vacation Bible school this year.

First day:  They woke up early, ate breakfast and we walked them  in school.  Mr. Burrito said that he loved it!
Second day:  Mr. Burrito  was still excited in going.  I had to carry him on my back going home though lol.
Third day:  He woke up and said "I don't want to go to school" but I  bluffed him and said that if he doesn't go, he  won't be able to join the movie night that our neighbor had set up for them.  So he went.  When they came home, he told us that he cried because he was missing us.
Fourth/last day:  He woke up resisting to go.  We had to walked  Ms. Burrito down there so we convinced him to go with us.  He never let go of Dad's hand though.  We took him home.
We're so proud of both  especially Ms. Burrito who is more than willing to go and attend the VBS with no buts and ifs.  We are also thankful that she did not get sick this year unlike last year.  Maybe she is immune with other kids already.
Attending VBS is a great  and fun  time for kids to attend when they are off from school.  Does your kids attend  VBS too?

Great that both Rylie and EJ attended this year's Vacation Bible Seminar. That is a great spiritual development for both of them. That both enjoyed the seminars is a big plus. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

Hi Rose! Your children are beautiful and I can see that you are an inspiration to them! My three children are all grown up and have flown away. My oldest is in California for the summer, my middle still lives nearby and is married ~ my "baby" who is 23 got a job in Texas this spring!
Give your babies lots and lots of hugs while they are near you!
Vacation Bible School brings back lots of memories ~ especially the dear songs and the craft projects that still go up on our Christmas tree!
Have a beautiful weekend!

That is good Mommy Rose, you let EJ expose to this kind of activity. This reminds me one cute little girl sa VBS din namin few weeks ago. She is so clingy to her mom then dad came to appeased her. But she won't let go so the mommy bring back to the parking lot or home but few minutes she was back with daddy already. Later she was okey and the daddy is gone. The next day the mommy came with her and we let her leave immediately, she cried, the mommy didn't looked back because if she did she would definitely go back and picked her up then the cycle comes back. When she noticed that her mom was gone she stopped crying and mingled the other kids. Sometimes when they see the mommy or daddy still hangs in the premises they started to become clingy.
But know what I was like that when I was a kid lol!! I remember me and my brother was at this convent of nuns with kids. I think that's also like vbs but I hated it lol!! The nun gave us "lugaw" for merienda in the afternoon and let us sleep because I think it's a whole day affair, I hate it to the max hahaha. I don't know what I did because I remember we didn't go back. Maybe I whine and cry to the max too hahaha.

The little guy is afraid to leave home. Yet this is a part of growing, and he will have the confidence some year to learn how. He will love VBS one year, as parents you continue to encourage him. Such a lovely family!
