Frustration with Internet Connection

Right now, I am really frustrated of not having a phone and internet connection. I am a stay at home Mom who works online and having this kind of situation is frustrating. When my husband and I saw the huge icicle that built on the gutter of our house, we know that it's going to cause problem. At first we had a leakage in one of the windows and the next day, the icicle fell down and ripped off the cable for the phone and Internet.
I am glad that my sister-in-law let me use her internet while we are out of connection because I have to pay bills and check some assignments for my blogs. But anyhow, there is nothing we can do about it but wait for the schedule for the technician to come to our house and fixed the problem. I feel so helpless without the Internet wahhhh. I still have five days to wait till they can fix it.

If you have friends or family members who live far or in isolated place and would like to have an internet connection, they should check out the
wildblue satellite from mybluedish.com. MyBlueDish offers a high speed internet which can be beamed to your house.

$6,500 Tax Credit

I mentioned the tax credit for homeowners to my other blog already but I would like to share it again in this blog. If you don't own a home for 3 years almost or a new home buyers this year, you could be receiving up to eight thousabd tax credits this year. This is the second round where the governement is giving the home owners a chance to have a good chunk of money for their tax return.
If you are a current qualifying home owner, you are entitled to a $6,500 Tax Credit if you have used the home sold or the home you are selling as a principal residence for at least 5 years for the previous eight years. You can find the complete details by watching the video below or by visiting the site though the links on this post.
This is worth your time so check it out. You can enjoy a big chunk of money if you qualify. I would be happier if we could at least qualify for this but we are not fortunate enough. But you might be the one that's lucky to enjoy this great opportunity so don't forget to check this out. With the kind of current economy that we have, it would be nice to have some extra cushion in our budget right?

No Internet and Phone for two Weeks

Hello everyone, thanks to all of you who left sweet messages to my blogs. Unfortunately, I couldn't visit you just yet because we lost our interenet connection two days ago. I am using my sister-in-law's Internet now (Thanks Chris). A huge piece of icicle knocked our gutter down and pulled down the internet and phone wire wahhhhh.
Since a lot of people are having the same problem, the company has a lot of repairs to do so we are scheduled to have our done on the 1st of March. What? When my husband told me the date, I almost dropped in my seat. It's only two days without an internet and I am going nuts already.
Please continue to visit my blogs, I'll visit you back as soon as our connection is up. Thanks again!

It's Arts Time

John and Rylie was in the mood for coloring the art book that Tita Chris gave Rylie. I am the observer and the photographer of course. Then I was having fun eating some clementine's and hubby though of taking shots of my go0finess lol. You might be wondering where our little boy was, he is taking a little snooze at that time.

Some people are not really fond of capturing photos but I encourage you to do so because when you're kids grow up, you will have something to look back too when you miss having them around.

I would like to thank Fickle in Pink for giving me this sunshine award. This is very good to have especially on gloomy winter days. Thanks sis. I am sharing this to all my readers here, just please grab it guys.

Secure Market

Now that the stock market is starting to come back up, my husband and I are thinking of transfering one of the kid's mutual fund into a secure one. When the stock market crashed, EJ's MF went very very low which bummed me out. Hubby assured me though that it will come back up. So now that it up to its original investment amount, I want to transfer it into a secure one.

Hubby has been looking for the
best cd rates online and haven't found one that is promising so far. I hope that we could found one that would be good and can give us a good yield at the end of the year.
For the meantime, my husband and I's goal for this year is to polished out the debts. We still have two major credit cards to pay off aside from the home mortgage. So hopefully, my family can achieve that this year.

Big Kid Now

I was supposed to blog about this last week but since our Internet connection is acting up due to the weather condition, I got side tracked and forgot about it. I am proud and happy to share to you the success that we achieved on EJ's potty training. It took him 6 weeks to finally get used to using the bathroom for his business. Now he can go to bed without using pull ups potty training pants anymore. I am so proud of you EJ!

He now tells me when he has to weewee but whenever he is busy playing or watching TV I have to constantly ask him about it so he won't forget. We are still working on the popo part, he is still a little hesitant in using the toilet, I just have to watch for the clue when he has to go. Ever time he is standing in the corner of the house that is the cue that he is trying to push a log.
For that, we are now awarding this official big kid certificate to our young man Eldon Jennings. Thanks to Chris (my SIL) who suggested on using a small stool for EJ to use so he could use the big toilet. He liked it more than the potty one. I still have to go with him though whenever he weewee and hold it down for him so the pee won't go anywhere lol.
With my daughter, I never had any problem with her. I think the early training helped her to learn it at a young age. I started potty trining Rylie when she was 8 months old so when she she turned 2 years old and nine months, she was completely potty trained.
For those Mommy out there who plans to potty train their kids, it really depends on your child's interest or should I say eagerness to learn,. But you can try as early as possible then if they are not ready yet, don't force it. I tried and failed so many times with EJ but when he turned three, we talked and explained to him that he is getting big for diapers. I am glad that he understood us. It would be a big savings too, Imagine 9 bucks for a diaper every week. So we could save almost forty bucks a month for it.

Forgetfulness

One weakness or negative thing that both my husband I have is forgetfulness. Sometimes my mind will just go completely blank and could not remember a thing. It doesn't last very long but I don't like it when it happens especially if I am being asked what's our phone number or forget my social security, it's embarrassing. Like he told me many times already about his schedule in school but for the love of me, I couldn't remember a thing. I would ask him everyday about it.

My husband is worse than me though, he tends to forget things that I just told him or people that he met. He is worried that he might get Alzheimer's at a later age, which I hope and pray that he won't. To help his goals in school organize, an academic organizer or planner would be good. I browsed some of the selection of academic planners online and I think it's a great thing to have. It is affordable so ordering one isn't a problem with my budget hehehe.

Excited for Spring

I am so glad that we have a sunny day, some of the ice formed at the side of our house are starting to melt down. We are having a problem already about this heavy snow, the ice have clogged our gutters that the it is leaking in one of our windows already. My husband and I are worried about it as the water drifted down the window, it is also soaking down through our carpet. Oh boy!

I can't wait for the Spring to start. I am also excited about since we haven't have a chance to visit my sister-in-law's house since we came back. They have a newly built swimming pool at their backyard and a spring party in a pool would be great after this heavy snow storm. I am not sure if they have above ground pool or a traditional one like the one that my brother-in-law has.

But anyhow, above ground pools are great option if you want to have it in your backyard. I think, its great if you have kids because during summer, they would have so much fun with it. PCPools.com is having their sale for above ground pools until the end of this month so if you want to avail with their great offers, you should check out their site.

That would be a good investment out from your tax refunds doesn't it guys?

Contented Playing Alone

When EJ has his favorite toy, he can just sit by himself and play with it like this.
He is even studying how his toy was made (I think) lol.
Thanks for visiting and commenting folks.

Insurance is Important

In two weeks or so my husband is officially retired from the Navy. In connection to that, everything will be a little different for us. From insurance to health care provider and all that will change. He already got a new dental insurance for us which is under the branch of the one that the military have provided for the family.

He is also considering of switching for an auto insurance if he could find a good policy that is better than the current one that we have. In browsing the net for the insurance providers, one that popped up is the HVG insurance. Finding a good deals on insurance is easier these days through comparing the prices and coverage of each insurance providers.

The key is to understand each terms and conditions especially the clauses and fine prints. Another thing that my husband and I are talking about these days is the home insurance. Because of the heavy snow that hit us, my husband found out that one of the windows in the kids' bedroom is leaking pretty bad. So he has to find out if that would be covered since it is caused by sever weather condition. Insurance is really important in all aspect.

Will You?

This was taken during the Valentine's get together at my father-in-law's house!
Forever In Blue Jeans
The theme for this week's Couple's Corner is "Will you still love me tomorrow?" Hmnnnn only my husband who is celebrating his birthday today can answer that. Happy birthday Hon, I hope that God will give you good health so that we would be able to enjoy each other's company even if we already have grey hair and to be able to witness and enjoy our grand kids or great grand kids.
As for me, I will love my husband as long as I am breathing. He is my soul mate whom God has given to me so YES, I will still love him kahit maputi na ang mga buhok namin.

Happy birthday and I love you very much!

Losing Weight after Pregnancy

Before my pregnancies, I was so skinny and I got use to having a 24 waist line measurement. After pregnancies however, the skinnies I got is 27 of waist. It is really hard to return to the pre-pregnancy figure. Some woman are very skinny before getting pregnant but after their pregnancy they find it hard to lose the weight they gained.

Some even uses weight loss pills or diets to eliminate the unwanted fats such as xenical. Xenical is a drug that helps you loss weight. This is particularly use by obese people. In using diet pills or lose weight aids, you have to make sure that you consult your physician first to avoid complications especially if you have a medical problem that could affect the certain medications that you will take.

Xenical is also a female hormone diet so you can use it after giving birth. It could boost your energy and at the same time, lose those unwanted pounds that you gain from pregnancy. You may visit the website to check out and use their Weight Gain Estimator to see how much exactly do you need to lose weight.

Based from the website that I read, other additional benefits from xenical is its ability to reduce high blood pressure and reduces cholesterol.

Vacation Ideas

Part of the stuff that we talked about during our valentine's celebration with family is the vacation plan for summer. My husband mentioned to his niece and husband about the possibility of all of us going for a vacation this summer.

We have been looking for vacation ideas at mycitiesguide.com that features travel destination guide for places in the US that are less known to travelers but offers great variety of adventures and fun. You will also find vacation deals from their travel articles and directory. MyCitiesGuide offers videos, tweet feeds and blog post for each travel destination to highlight the things that you can expect to see and enjoy.
Beach Destination
Travel destinations are categorized into scenic destination, adventure destination, beach destinations, and urban destination. For a family like us who have little kids, the best choice will be the beach destination since kids love to play in the water. Hopefully we could find a really good deal this year so all of us can go.

Our plan is to rent a house which will accommodate the number of our family because it is cheaper. There are so many vacation rentals available these days because it is practical and you can save more money from doing so.

Pre-Valentine Family Date

We decided to go to the Robinson Mall in PA today even though it was snowing because we won't have enough time to buy my husband his present on his nth birthday this coming 17th.
The kids were very very happy after a long time of being stuck inside the house, they finally see something new . After we did some shopping, we let them play and play until they got tired of it.
These two shots are my favorite!
We did not eat at the mall because Rylie wanted to eat at the Chinese resto in Weirton. So after Robinson, we dropped by at ToysRUs and bought them a couple of books and we drove home.

They were both taking a little snooze whe we arrived at the restaurant so hubby just bought some foods and took it home. We ate it at Dad's. Hmmmnn I can stil savor the taste of those crab legs yum lol. Okidoci guys, thanks a lot for all your visits and comments. Pardon if my vist these days is very limited, I am just a little busy here.

Hope you all guys have a wonderful Valentine's celebration.
