Hanover Park Meet Up

Before the first day of school, one of the Moms from my daughter's class organized a 'meet-up' get-together for all the parents and kids in kindergarten. The goal for this is to get the kids familiarize with each other, warm up by playing in the park. This event was done on the day of the registration so after we registered our daughter, we proceeded to the venue. Hanover Park is in PA but it is close to where we live. t was a brilliant idea on the part of Mrs. Mascio.

The kids definitely had so much fun because the park was huge and there are so many things to do in there. It also gave the parents to meet other parents. This also gave me time to get out of my shell a little bit, I am shy when it comes to meeting new people so I am always kind of reserve in one corner lol. Some of them are really friendly though and talked to me.

One of the main game for the kids is introduction of each and Q & A afterwards with that they have learned from each other with the help of the parents. I was surprised that my daughter was never shy, she just mingle with the kids naturally. She definitely get that from her Dad. I a, always shy since I was a kid. After the Q&A, the kids were give some prizes.

The organizer also brought some pzza and drinks for everybody. Thanks Marie!

The rest were spent from running around and playing. Those are some of the girls in Rylie's class. She is the smallest one lol.

Go go go Rose, You can do it! :D It's nice to mingle with other people especially to your daughter's friends. I agree with Shy, you're going to be a stage Mama soon. :)

Yes, that was a brilliant idea indeed. To be able to let the kids play and know one another in a park is a brilliant idea of unifying them and breaking any barriers among them. The parents had their own share of getting to know you moments. The pizzas and the drinks plus the many recreational activities of the park added to the enjoyment and camaraderie of everybody. Thanks for the brilliant post. God bless you all always.

This is a beautiful park just outside the WV panhandle. When ours were little, we took them to nice park/playgrounds like this with great rides and slides. In fact, a great place was an old playground (now gone) called the Tot Lot

For us, it is a nice look back - ours are big now, but learned by play at places like this...

That was a very good idea, and looks like it was a success! You got some great shots, I like the one with the two kids on the ride in the dappled shadows, and the group shot with Rylie at the end of the row a lot!
Thansk for the visit!

What a great idea and a fun looking day! Love all the photos! I'm shy also. I'm at least slightly less shy now as an adult than I was when a kid. Still shy though... :D

Hope you have a super week!
